Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner to join the Foundation Learning and ALS department at Shuttleworth College, Old Warden. You will provide tailored one-to-one and group support for learners with additional needs, monitor progress and contribute high-quality evidence for EHCP reviews.

Role requires a Level 3 qualification in Learning Support with Level 2 English and Maths, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Learning Support or related field.
• Level 2 English and Maths required.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND.
• Background in educational, specialist or care settings.
• Strong IT literacy and ability to record learner progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one and group SEND learner support.
• Monitor, record and report learner progress with evidence for EHCP reviews.
• Promote inclusive teaching and remove barriers for learners.
• Collaborate with teachers, ALS colleagues, parents and external professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality and health & safety standards and engage in CPD.
