Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks a SEND Emotional Support Facilitator to join the Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support team in a permanent term-time contract. You will deliver high-quality emotional and behavioural support, manage the Haven space, and organise ELSA-informed interventions to help students thrive.

You should hold A Levels or equivalent, GCSE English and Maths, and an ELSA qualification (or be willing to obtain one), with strong SEND knowledge and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Holds A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification with English and Maths GCSE.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND and vulnerable learners in education.
• Understands SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emotional, social and behavioural support to learners with SEND and EHCPs.
• Manage Haven environment to promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Plan and deliver ELSA-informed interventions and mentoring sessions.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, parents and external agencies and maintain records.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety and participate in ongoing professional development.
