Zusammenfassung

The Bedford College Group is seeking a SEND Specialist Practitioner to join the Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support team. You will deliver specialist SEND support, develop inclusive teaching strategies, and contribute to EHCP processes to improve learner outcomes.

Role requires a degree or Level 5 qualification in SEND, evidence of supporting learners with EHCPs, and strong collaboration with staff, external agencies and safeguarding practices. 37 hours weekly, permanent contract.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or Level 5 qualification in a SEND specialist area (ASD, SpLD or SEMH) with knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.
• Experience in supporting young people with SEND and EHCPs, delivering tailored interventions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with curriculum teams and external agencies.
• Proficient in report writing, record keeping, data management and educational IT systems.

Aufgaben

• Deliver specialist one-to-one support, small group sessions and workshops for learners with SEND.
• Develop inclusive teaching practices and differentiation strategies with curriculum staff.
• Set and review learner targets, monitor attendance and progress, contribute to EHCP Annual Reviews.
• Promote accessible technologies and liaise with external agencies to support learners.
• Build positive professional relationships with students and staff, safeguard and support wellbeing.
