Job summary

The Bedford College Group seeks a Learning Support Practitioner to join the Foundation Learning & Additional Learning Support team at Central Bedfordshire College, Dunstable Kingsway Campus. You will provide personalised SEND learner support, enabling learners to access education and achieve EHCP outcomes.

You will monitor progress, contribute to reviews, and work with teachers and therapists to deliver coordinated support while promoting safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Learning Support, Education or related field, with Level 2 English and Maths.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND within educational settings.
• Proven communication and relationship-building skills for working with learners, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Personalised SEND learner support to enable access to learning and EHCP outcomes.
• Progress monitoring and recording of learner progress with evidence for reviews.
• Implement inclusive practices and remove barriers to learning for the diverse student base.
• Collaborate with teachers, ALS colleagues, therapists and external professionals for coordinated support.
• Support safeguarding, professional development and college standards in all activities.
