Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Education Assistants in Bournemouth to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners. Roles involve home visits or community sessions using our EHCP-based curriculum and trauma-informed approaches.

Candidates should have DBS clearance and 2+ years’ relevant experience, with flexible, self-employed arrangements. You will join a purpose-driven team delivering meaningful education and life-skills development, with flexible hours and a supportive

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Background in roles such as LSAs, TAs, support workers or similar care/education positions.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child-centred approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed.
