Job summary

Brighton Girls is seeking a SEND Coordinator/Inclusion Manager to raise the profile of neurodiversity and SEND within the school community in Brighton. The role leads strategic development of SEND policy and provides extensive support to SEND pupils and their families.

You will oversee screening and assessment for SEND pupils, identify those who need support, monitor progress, and support the teaching and learning of SEND and EAL pupils through one-to-one sessions and staff training.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge base of SEND needs.
• Experience developing SEND policy.
• Ability to train staff on SEND provision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEND policy and provision.
• Bridge barriers to learning for SEND pupils.
• Provide support to SEND pupils and families; reflect legislation in policy.
• Oversee screening and assessment procedures for SEND pupils.
• Identify students needing support and monitor progress.
• Support teaching and learning of SEND and EAL pupils through one-to-one sessions and intervention.
• Deliver training to staff on recognising and catering for SEND provision.
