Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming SEND school in Bromley. The role focuses on supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs, building positive relationships and helping pupils engage with learning.

You will work closely with teachers to provide 1:1 and small-group support, manage emotions, identify triggers and develop coping strategies, and help pupils develop confidence and independence in a busy school day.

Qualifications

• Patient, calm and resilient with strong commitment to safeguarding.
• Experience or interest in SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs is desirable.
• Reliable, a strong communicator and able to build trusting relationships.
• Willing to work as part of a supportive school team.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs.
• Help pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning.
• Identify triggers and develop positive coping strategies.
• Respond calmly to challenging behaviour and implement strategies.
• Monitor pupil engagement and progress and support communication skills.
