Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH needs in a mainstream Croydon secondary school. You will work daily with pupils inside and outside the classroom, promoting communication and independence while helping with learning and social interactions.

A valid Enhanced DBS is required; you will assist with lesson prep and activities, contributing to a safe, inclusive environment and smooth classroom routines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Support pupils with communication, learning and independence in a safe environment.
• Assist with lesson preparation and activity planning.
• Requires valid Enhanced DBS.

Behaviour Mentor

Location: Croydon

Start Date: ASAP

Pay- £100-£140 per day

A Mainstream Secondary School in Croydon is looking for a dynamic and adaptable Behaviour Mentor who will be able to support pupils on a daily basis inside and outside the classroom. Some of the pupils you will be supporting will have various SEND needs. Experience of supporting different needs would be desirable but not essential.

You will play a key role in supporting the pupils with communication, learning, and independence, in a safe and inclusive environment to help their development. Your main responsibility will be supporting pupils with SEMH and working to manage their behaviour. You will also encourage and support the pupils learning and educational development while supporting social interactions and helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities.

To be considered for this role you will need a valid Enhanced DBS
