Job summary

The Downs Primary School and Nursery invites applications for a Part Time SENCO to support our SEND provision. The role suits an experienced SENCo or an outstanding teacher new to SEND, in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position: 60% - 19.5 hours per week. Salary depends on experience, with MPS/UPS & TLR2A. Closing date: 28 October 2026. Interviews will be held on 30 October 2026.

About this Role

The Downs Primary School have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time SENCO to join our SEND provision in our school.

The position will suit an experienced SENCo who is empathetic with outstanding people skills. Applications from outstanding teachers taking their first steps into special educational needs will also be considered.

SALARY: MPS / UPS & TLR2A

• Working with students, subject leaders and class teachers with tutorial/pastoral responsibilities to ensure that realistic expectations are set for students with SEND.

TLR2A - £4,057.00 FT per annum
