Job summary

Connex Education is seeking an experienced SENCO to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the B33 area, working 3 days a week from Monday to Wednesday. You will coordinate SEN provision, support teaching staff with inclusive strategies, monitor pupil progress, and ensure the school meets the needs of all learners.

Enhanced DBS required or processed via Connex Education. Located in Birmingham, the school offers a supportive environment, a broad curriculum, and professional development

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating SEN provision and liaising with teachers and families.
• Solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Ability to monitor pupil progress and adapt support accordingly.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality in the classroom.

Are you an experienced and passionate SENCO looking for a part-time opportunity in a welcoming mainstream primary school?

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SENCO to join a supportive primary school in B33, working 3 days a week from Monday to Wednesday.

As the SENCO, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support to thrive.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating SEN provision across the school, supporting staff with inclusive classroom strategies, monitoring pupil progress, and helping to ensure the school continues to meet the needs of all learners.

Role Requirements

• Previous experience working as a SENCO or in a SEN leadership/co-ordination role within a school setting
• A strong understanding of SEND provision and the SEND Code of Practice
• Experience supporting teachers and staff to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs
• A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
• An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
