Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead SEND provision across two secondary schools in Hayes. The role involves coordinating identification, assessment and support for pupils with SEND, and developing EHCPs and provision maps in collaboration with staff and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have SENCO experience in a secondary setting, knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, and strong leadership and communication skills.

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to work across two secondary schools in Hayes. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic SEND professional to take a key leadership role and make a meaningful impact on the provision and outcomes for pupils with special educational needs.

The successful SENCO will work closely with senior leaders, teachers, support staff, parents/carers and external agencies to ensure that pupils with SEND receive high-quality, appropriate support across both schools.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across two secondary schools
• Oversee the identification, assessment and support of pupils with SEND

The ideal candidate:

• Has proven experience working as a SENCO within a secondary school setting
• Holds or is working towards the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO), where applicable
• Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND procedures
• Has excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
• Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents/carers and external agencies
• Is proactive, committed and able to manage competing priorities across two settings
• Has a genuine passion for improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
