Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking a Therapies Assistant to support Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists at Hillingdon Manor School. You will help deliver assessments and interventions, develop communication and sensory profiles, and contribute to placement plans under supervision.

You will work with the education team and families, participate in staff training, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, including English.
• Evidence of relevant Post 16 education.
• Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required.
• Experience working in SEN settings, schools and with autistic children and young people.
• Experience as a therapy assistant or in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, carers and families and with professionals outside the service.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions under supervision of qualified clinicians.
• Assist in creating communication and sensory profiles.
• Contribute to placement plans and delivering a range of interventions.
• Observe sessions, co-facilitate staff training and attend multi‑agency meetings.
• Contribute to ongoing service development and professional development opportunities.
