Aspire People are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Solihull. This full-time, long-term role involves providing 1:1 support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs.

You will work with the class teacher and SENCO, adapt activities to individual needs, promote independence, and monitor progress. Level 2/3 TA benefits and DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

  • Previous TA or SEN TA experience.
  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND and strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.
  • Patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • Strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND.
  • Deliver small group interventions.
  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech/language needs.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Solihull. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who is committed to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

The Role:
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions for pupils with SEND.
  • Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet pupils' individual needs and learning styles.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
  • Assist with academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support pupils effectively.
  • Patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
