Job summary

Integra Education (North) LTD is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. This SEN Teaching Assistant role supports children and young people with SEMH and SEND.

You will mentor individuals or small groups, support the classroom teacher, report on progress, supervise during non-classroom time, and assist with planning and marking. September start; term-time only; £110 per day (UMB).

Qualifications

• Strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience with SEMH or SEND support is preferred.
• Willingness to take additional responsibilities within the school.

Responsibilities

• Mentor one pupil or small groups and support the class teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupils' progress and liaise with staff to meet needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time and assist with trips and activities.
• Assist with lesson planning, classroom preparation, and marking.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.
