Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Huddersfield and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 and small group support for children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language delays, assisting with differentiated activities and behaviour strategies, and helping to create an inclusive, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in school or related settings.
• Calm, patient and proactive approach to behaviour and learning.
• Qualifications such as Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning, Team-Teach or Makaton are advantageous but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
