Job summary

Academics is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join mainstream primary schools in Huddersfield and surrounding areas. You will deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language delays, helping create an inclusive classroom.

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• Calm, patient and proactive approach to behaviour support and learning development.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs.
• Assist the class teacher with differentiated learning activities and behaviour strategies.
• Create an inclusive, safe and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with sensory breaks, emotional regulation and social communication.
