Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced Teaching and Learning Assistant to support pupils with varying needs across primary settings. You will work directly with class teachers and use initiative to enhance teaching and learning for all children.

The role requires supporting pupils with EHCPs, Speech and Language, ADHD, Autism, and SEMH, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and wellbeing. Positions are available on a part‑time/full‑time basis from September 2026 in Cannock, Stafford and Stone

Qualifications

• Experience with pupils across primary age range with SEND
• Paediatric First Aid qualification desirable
• Temporary supply role via agency within long‑term placements
• Willingness to support safeguarding and wellbeing policies

Responsibilities

• Support a range of pupils with varying needs
• Build effective relationships with staff, external professionals and students
• Relate well with a wide range of personalities using initiative
• Motivate and inspire pupils to grow and flourish in class
