Job summary

Academics in Huddersfield is seeking a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2, including 1:1 and small-group sessions. You will work with children with varying abilities and SEND needs, helping them engage with school life and build confidence for a bright future.

This role offers exposure to different schools across Huddersfield, flexible placements, safeguarding training, and a specialist SEN consultant to support you throughout placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools.
• Understanding of SEND needs and adaptations.
• Safeguarding awareness and vigilance.
• Able to work 1:1 or in small groups.
• Excellent communication with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stage 1 and 2 on a 1:1 basis or small groups.
• Encourage learning and provide educational support as needed.
• Prioritise safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
• Engage with different schools in Huddersfield through Academics placements.
