Qualifications

• Requires Level 2/3 qualification related to education or childcare.
• Experience supporting children with SEN is preferred.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and child-centred approach.
• Knowledge of SEND practices and positive behaviour strategies is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions to support pupil progress.
• Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional wellbeing and social development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in school life.
• Help pupils build confidence, resilience and independence.
• Monitor engagement and report observations to teaching staff.
• Work with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
• Provide personal care support when required with dignity and respect.
