Qualifications

• Caring, patient and empathetic.
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed.
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Confident working as part of a team.
• Calm and consistent when supporting challenging behaviour.
• Previous experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Supporting pupils with their learning, development and engagement.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing and engagement.
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual learning plans.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
