Job summary

Inspire EHC are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged learner with additional needs in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. You will work 1:1 and help the pupil access learning, build confidence, and form positive relationships.

This full-time, long-term role offers a daytime schedule 08:30–15:30 with a 30-minute break, and pay between £14.30 and £19 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Patient, nurturing and committed to helping children thrive.
• Experience in supporting children with SEND/SEMH or additional needs.
• Able to use initiative while working as part of a supportive team.
• Confident in building rapport and maintaining consistent boundaries.
• Passionate about inclusive education and making a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a primary-aged learner with additional needs.
• Adapt learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
• Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
• Build a trusting, supportive relationship with the learner.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, external professionals, and parents.
• Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and child-centred learning environment.
• Commute to Cambourne, Cambridgeshire
