Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Liskeard, Cornwall, is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support learners across primary schools in the area.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with hours 8:30am to 3:30pm, and involves one-to-one and small group support for pupils, including those with SEN.

You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, follow safeguarding policies, and help create an inclusive, safe learning environment. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support in primary schools in the Liskeard area.
• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding in education.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and committed to high-quality learning.
• Available for full-time work.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils with ASC, ADHD and other needs, including communication goals.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Implement EHCPs and individual learning programmes.
• Promote positive behaviour and implement behaviour support strategies.
• Assist with preparation and organisation of learning resources.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Assist with personal care and physical support where required.
