Job summary

Inspire EHC are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged learner with additional needs in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. You will work 1:1 and help the pupil access learning, build confidence, and form positive relationships.

This full-time, long-term role offers a daytime schedule 08:30–15:30 with a 30-minute break, and pay between £14.30 and £19 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support to a primary-aged learner with additional needs.
  • Adapt learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Promote emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour.
  • Build a trusting, supportive relationship with the learner.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, external professionals, and parents.
  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and child-centred learning environment.
  • Commute to Cambourne, Cambridgeshire

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Start: 13/04/26

Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential to become permanent)

Hours: 08:30-15:30 (30 Minutes Break)

Pay: £14.30 - £19.00 p/hr(dependent on experience and responsibilities)

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Inspire EHC are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, who are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged learner with additional needs.

You'll be supporting one child throughout the school day, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships.
