Job summary

TLTP Group is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in a primary school setting in Islington, North London. You will provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

You will assist with ASD/SEMH needs, support communication and emotional regulation, and work closely with teachers and the SENCO to foster a calm, inclusive classroom environment. This role is long-term and full-time.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Support children with ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Assist with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Support positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

  • 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • £99 - £110 per day

SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Support children with ASD and SEMH needs.
  • Assist with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.

SEN Teaching Assistant - About You

  • Confidence supporting emotional regulation and behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers and the SENCO.

  • A flexible and consistent approach when supporting children with additional needs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development, wellbeing and progress.
