Job summary

Teach Now Limited is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant for Early Years in Islington, London. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a high-needs pupil in Reception, helping access play-based learning and routines with a calm, patient approach.

The role requires experience with SEN, strong teamwork, and the ability to adapt activities to individual needs, with safeguarding procedures in place. Long-term, full-time temporary contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in Early Years or primary education.
• Ability to work 1:1 with a child who has high or complex needs.
• Calm, compassionate and resilient approach.
• Understanding of communication, sensory and emotional-regulation needs.
• Proactive initiative while following guidance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to helping children reach their potential.
• Experience with autism, speech and language needs, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
