Job summary

Lancashire County Council's Mayfield Specialist School in Chorley is recruiting three Teaching Assistants with SEN experience. The role is part-time, term-time plus inset days, with pro-rata full-time salary. Starting 23 November 2026, the school prioritises safeguarding and student welfare and offers a staff uniform and wellbeing initiatives.

Experience with children and in SEN is desirable. Hours are 09:00-16:00 Mondays and 09:00-15:30 Tue-Fri, with pro-rata pay for part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Desirable: NVQ level 2 or above; Level 2 in English and Maths.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
