Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Accrington. The role is full-time and involves working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

You will deliver targeted intervention sessions, adapt learning materials for varied abilities, and monitor pupil progress while collaborating with staff to promote an inclusive learning environment.

• Proven experience working with SEN pupils in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of different learning needs and support strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to support pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCo and teaching staff to plan and implement adapted learning activities.
• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Adapt classroom resources to meet varying abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback to staff.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
