Lancashire County Council's Mayfield Specialist School in Chorley is recruiting three Teaching Assistants with SEN experience. The role is part-time, term-time plus inset days, with pro-rata full-time salary. We are an all age Special School for pupils and students. We cater mainly for pupils with severe learning difficulties or profound and multiple learning needs. In addition we have a number of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We are a growing school, with 135 pupils, but we pride ourselves in making a big impact on the lives of our children and their families.

The hours are 09:00am-16:00pm (Monday’s) and 09:00am - 15:30pm (Tuesdays- Fridays). The full time salary is therefore pro-rata from 37 full time. Hours to 30.5 part time hours and from full year working to term time plus Inset days.
The start date is 23rd November 2026, subject to satisfactory references & occupational health pre-placement questionnaire and Enhanced DBS clearance.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro -rata basis.
