Job summary

Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support in our SEN schools in the Salford area. In this role you will help pupils with learning, communication and behavioural needs to access the curriculum.

This position is full time, term time only, with October 2026 start date. You will deliver 1:1 and small group support, assist with personal care when required, and work under the guidance of teachers and the school's safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children and young people with SEN needs.
• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Team Teach is desirable but not essential.
• Prior experience and willingness to participate in personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and group sessions to facilitate young people’s academic and emotional learning.
• Create a safe and nurturing learning environment where every child feels heard and empowered.
• Assist with behaviour management.
• Create and adapt learning materials to support each child’s needs.
• Support with Personal Care when required.
