Job summary

Academics are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for a residential SEN school in Andover, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with Autism or related needs. The role is full‑time, starting in September, with a temp to perm pathway and a rate of £14.24 per hour.

Driving is preferred due to the rural location in Grately/Andover. You will work with pupils in small groups and 1:1, helping implement EHCPs and differentiated learning plans so every student can access a challenging and relevant

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (4-9 or C grade) required.
• Empathetic and calm approach essential to support students.
• Ability to support the teacher in meeting individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Assist the teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
• Help implement learning and care plans for EHCPs.
