Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Warwickshire under Community Academies Trust partnership. Roles include full-time, part-time, long-term, short-term, or day-to-day work with opportunities to develop within SEN settings.

You will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support, promote inclusive learning, and help pupils access the curriculum while adhering to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a classroom or SEN setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High expectations of all pupils and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
• A proactive approach to professional development and improving learning outcomes.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Supporting pupils' communication, social, emotional, and academic development.
• Managing behaviour positively and encouraging engagement in learning.
• Adapting support to meet individual pupils' needs.
• Promoting inclusion, independence, and confidence.
• Following safeguarding procedures and school policies.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
