Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in classrooms and individual settings. You will work with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals to adapt activities, monitor progress and promote inclusive learning.

Applicants should have experience with children or young people with SEND, a willingness to learn, and qualifications such as Level 2/3 TA or SEND-related training. DBS checks will be conducted, and safeguarding is a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in school or similar setting
• Level 2/3 TA qualifications beneficial
• Training available in communication strategies and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum by adapting activities
• Support pupils with communication, cognition and learning, and social-emotional needs
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
• Monitor and record pupils' progress and share with staff
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
• Assist with personal care or practical support if required
• Work with teachers, SENCO and professionals to deliver personalised learning activities
