Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd is hiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs under the guidance of the SENCO. The role involves working closely with teachers to implement IEPs and provide tailored support to students across classrooms.

You will help students develop essential life skills, independence and confidence while contributing to an inclusive learning environment across partner trusts in Devon & Cornwall.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young adults with SEN is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience, empathy, and passion for supporting students with SEN.
• Qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group SEN support inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with implementing IEPs and accommodations for SEN students.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers and parents to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
• Help students develop life skills, independence and confidence.
