Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd, in partnership with Reach South Trust/Transforming Futures Academy, is seeking Teaching Assistants to cover short-term absences and support learning across age groups. Roles include one-on-one and small group support, with emphasis on SEN needs and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, teachers and parents.
• Patience and empathy with learners of diverse abilities and ages.
• Flexibility to work across year groups and classroom settings.
• Education or childcare qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with delivery of lessons and activities and prepare resources.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Support SEN students by implementing IEPs and accommodations.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with staff and other professionals to keep the classroom running smoothly.
