Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant (ASC Focus) to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition in Brighton and Hove. The role is full-time with a daily rate structure, starting from September 2026.

You will work across multiple primary provisions to help learners access curriculum and develop communication and independence. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help deliver EHCP-aligned targets, and collaborate with teachers and external professionals to create a

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASC.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC.
• Support delivery of personalised learning plans in line with EHCP targets.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction development.
• Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Encourage engagement, independence, and participation in learning activities.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
