Job summary

Randstad Staffing is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school, working 1:1 with autistic pupils and helping implement a personalised curriculum across key stages, drawing on flexibility and a calm, patient approach.

The school sits on acres of land with exceptional facilities including a forest school site. Work hours are Monday to Friday 08:30–16:15, term time only, with on-site parking, meals, and ongoing on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEN/autism is preferred.
• GCSE Maths and English completed.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the teacher according to weekly/daily/sessional planning.
• Work 1:1 with students.
• Provide group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher.
• Work individually with learners/students to develop work.
• Support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school.
• Monitor and evaluating students learning under the guidance of the teacher.
• Assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place.
• Support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas.
