Job summary
Randstad Staffing is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN team in a primary/secondary setting in Southwater, UK. You will work 1:1 with autistic students and help implement a personalised curriculum, with access to forest school resources and on-site facilities.
The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:15, term-time only. On-the-job training, funded development, free parking and meals, staff discounts, paid holiday and regular recognition awards are included.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK.
- GCSE Maths and English required.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Experience in SEND settings is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist the teacher according to planning (weekly/daily).
- Work 1:1 with students.
- Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
- Develop learners' work individually with support.
- Support learners' wellbeing within the school structure.
- Monitor and evaluate student learning under teacher guidance.
- Assist with classroom management to create a purposeful learning environment.
- Support all learners in planned structured work across curriculum areas.
