Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support within a Southampton school.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help a pupil access their education, develop independence and confidence within the school environment. This is an ideal role for an experienced TA, support worker or someone looking to build a career within SEND education.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • SEN experience desirable.
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide focused 1:1 and small-group classroom support.
  • Help pupils access and engage with lessons.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Encourage communication and social development.
  • Assist with interventions and personalised learning.
  • Build a trusting relationship with pupils.

Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day

Supply Desk is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support within a Southampton school.
