Job summary

Philosophy Education, Ltd. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with a range of additional needs in a school environment. This long-term, flexible supply role starts September 2026 and offers meaningful work with opportunity for ongoing assignment.

The role focuses on enabling access to learning, developing independence, and promoting positive behaviour through close collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and families.

Qualifications

• Provide personalised 1:1 support to an individual pupil, helping them access learning, develop independence, build confidence and reach their full potential.
• Support pupils with diverse needs (ASD, SLCN, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, physical/complex needs) within the school setting.

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs?

We are looking for caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs. These roles are ideal for experienced SEN professionals, recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a rewarding career in SEND.

The Role

You will provide personalised 1:1 support to an individual pupil, helping them access learning, develop independence, build confidence and reach their full potential.

You may support pupils with:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)


• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)


• ADHD


• Learning difficulties


• Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs


• Physical or complex needs


• EHCPs

Key Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.

Previous experience in SEND, education, care, youth work, psychology or similar environments is desirable but not essential for every role.
