Job summary

Academics are seeking an experienced and engaging Teaching Assistant to join an SEN School in the New Forest area between Brockenhurst and Lymington. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent contract starting ASAP.

Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on a Friday. This is a term-time role working 39 weeks of the year, paying 14.24 per hour. Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and experience in line with the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or higher.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, ideally in an SEN environment.
• Able to adapt to varying behaviours and think on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in small groups and 1:1 across the school.
• Work with pupils aged 7–19 with autism spectrum needs.
• Assist teachers and contribute to a positive learning environment.
