Job summary

Academics are seeking a Learning Support Assistant at an SEN School in the New Forest area between Brockenhurst and Lymington. This full-time, temporary to permanent role starts ASAP, with term-time hours from 8.30am to 4.30pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.30am to 4.00pm on Fridays.

Salary is £14.24 per hour, and pay is determined by qualifications and experience. The role supports pupils aged 7–19 with Asperger's and related needs, in small groups and 1:1, within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to adapt to varying levels of challenging behaviour.
• Empathetic, nurturing approach required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the school in small groups.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils.
