Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Mansfield, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a part-time role with an immediate start. You will support pupils across KS1 to KS5, providing one-to-one and small group support, helping develop communication, independence and engagement in learning.

The successful candidate may hold Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications and will have experience with SEND and LD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils across KS1–KS5 and LD.
• Willingness to engage with students and adapt approaches to individual needs.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Mansfield, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school provides specialist education for pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 through to Key Stage 5 / KS5, supporting children and young people with Learning Difficulties / LD and providing education tailored to their individual learning needs.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across KS1 to KS5, providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting with classroom activities and helping pupils develop their communication, independence and engagement in learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Learning Difficulties / LD

• Experience supporting pupils across primary, secondary or post-16 education

• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with additional learning needs

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach with a willingness to get stuck in
