Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a respected school based in DA from September. You will support pupils with Autism/ASD and PMLD in a nurturing, inclusive environment, helping to create engaging learning activities and positive daily routines.

This role requires patience, reliability and strong communication to work closely with teachers, carers and families, ensuring every pupil receives the support they need throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a SEND school, care setting or similar environment.
• Experience supporting children or young people with Autism/ASD and PMLD.
• Confidence providing personal care.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
