Job summary

TeacherActive in Gravesham is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a long‑term role at a welcoming SEND school from September. You will support pupils with PMLD, ASD and ADHD, helping them engage with meaningful activities and learn alongside our teaching staff.

The successful candidate will provide personal care where required, bring patience, strong teamwork and a proactive attitude to meet each child's individual needs, contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly PMLD, ASD and ADHD.
• Confident providing personal care where required.
• Experience keeping children engaged in learning and structured activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, caring and positive attitude.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will support children with PMLD, ASD and ADHD, keeping pupils engaged in learning and activities, providing personal care where required and working closely with teaching staff to meet each child's individual needs.

Requirements

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly PMLD, ASD and ADHD
• Confidence providing personal care where required
• Experience keeping children engaged in learning and structured activities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and positive attitude
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
