Job summary

Edvance Education is seeking a caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism and ADHD in a primary setting. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting immediately and continuing for the academic year.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to create a calm, supportive classroom environment, adapting strategies to individual needs and promoting inclusion. Experience in schools and a genuine passion for helping young people are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support children with Autism/ADHD in the classroom and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist teaching and SEN support plans under teacher guidance.
  • Promote calm, safe, and engaging classroom activities.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and/or ADHD?

We are seeking a caring, calm, patient and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team from September. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, with the position continuing long-term for the academic year.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
  • Experience working in schools
  • Experience supporting children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for working with young people
