Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is helping a welcoming primary school in Moseley recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with additional needs. The role is full-time and long-term, starting October 2026, with a daily rate of £95–£110.

You will work within a KS1 class, delivering tailored interventions, supporting pupils with ASD/ADHD/SEMH, and helping sustain engagement throughout the school day. Experience with SEN and Level 2/3 TA qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly KS1.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of SEN, including ASD/ADHD/SEMH.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach across the classroom.
• Willingness to support across the classroom.

The school is looking to take on a full time, long term SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver tailored interventions and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1
• A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A can-do attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
