Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism, ADHD and SEMH in a primary setting in M16, Greater Manchester. You will work 1:1 or in small groups under the guidance of the classteacher, promoting inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

Role is full-time, term-time only, with hours 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Experience in educational support and calm, patient approach are essential to helping pupils succeed.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or mentoring children or young people (school, youth work, volunteering).
  • Patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths & English or equivalent).
  • Calm under pressure with a positive outlook and sense of humour.
  • Committed to inclusion and helping every child succeed.

Contract Type: Full-time (Term-time only)

Salary: GBP100- GBP110.00 per day (depending on experience)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected primary school in M16 that provides a calm, structured, and supportive environment for young people. The school supports pupils with Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. To be eligible you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update Service
  • Provide two professional child-related references
