Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in King's Heath to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for KS1. Location: Quinton. Start date: September 2026.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day. This full-time, long-term role focuses on supporting children with SEN and delivering tailored interventions. The successful candidate will have Level 2/3 TA qualification, experience with KS1 SEN, and strong communication and behaviour management skills.

The school is looking to take on a full time, long term SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver tailored interventions and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1
• A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
