Job summary

Quokka Education is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant in Gosport to support students with additional needs on flexible and long-term placements. You’ll work one-to-one or in small groups, building relationships and promoting engagement under the guidance of SEN professionals.

No classroom experience required—many entrants come from coaching, care, youth work, or support roles. We provide training, ongoing support, and weekly PAYE pay from £90-£100 per day.

  • Provide consistent, reliable support to learners.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with additional needs (autism, ADHD, SEMH).

  • Support emotional wellbeing and behaviour strategies.
  • Build positive relationships to help students feel safe and supported.

We're working with specialist schools across Gosport that are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to support students on both flexible and long-term placements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

No classroom experience? That's okay.

You don't need previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant to apply.

Many of our successful candidates come from backgrounds in coaching, care, youth work, customer service, and support roles. What schools value most is your ability to build relationships, remain calm under pressure, and provide consistent support.

We'll provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to help you feel confident in your new role.

What You'll Be Doing
