Randstad Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant for a long-term role based in an SEN specialist setting in Cheshire West. Previous experience with SEN/SEMH is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support during lessons
• Assist the class teacher with setting up the classroom and supporting learning activities
• Support pupils with ALN and develop strategies to meet their needs
• Liaise with the class teacher and relevant professionals to discuss pupil progress
• Provide additional support during lunch and break times as needed
• Report concerns to the SENCo

Requirements

• Previous experience working in education or a similar role
• SEN experience
• Level 2/3 Childcare qualification (desirable)
• Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to apply)
